Which Documents Will You Need When Applying for a Loan?

Oct 2 2015

You might find the home that’s right for you, but do you know which documents you will need to have on hand when applying for a loan to buy that home? Knowing which documents and any other personal information you will need before you meet with a lender can be confusing.

You will likely have to bring W-2 wage and tax statements from all of your employers for the past two years, a Social Security card, a copy of all the pages of each credit card or loan statement dated within the last 30 days, and other pieces of personal information.

If you’re unsure what you will need to bring with you when applying for your loan, our interactive tool will help you get your information in order to better prepare you for the homebuying process.
